About Land O Lakes Orthodontist

Having  worked in his older brother's orthodontic office growing up, Dr. Thomas hoped to be an orthodontist at an early age and wanted to receive the best education that was offered.  Dr. Thomas began his undergraduate training at the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science Diploma majoring in zoology.  He then earned his dental degree at the Medical University of South Carolina where he won the American Association of Orthodontists Student Award and the HinmanAward for dental research.   

 Dr. Thomas advanced his dental education by completing a general residency program at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Orthodontic Certificate and Masters in Science Degree at the University of Detroit Mercy where he learned the most advanced techniques and was educated directly from one of the founders of modern orthodontics,  Dr. Ronald H Roth.  Dr. Thomas is proud to be one of the first Tampa orthodontists to become Invisalign certified so he could offer Invisalign  treatments for his patients. 

What's more, Dr. Thomas has published articles in two orthodontic journals Research Article 1 Research Article 2. In addition to his excellent education and experience, he remains committed to continuing education by spending two to three weeks per year learning the latest and most advanced techniques.  This is why at Thomas Orthodontics you can rest assured you will be treated right.
